BMW oil changes in Yerevan: intervals, oil, and what we inspect
Published · 1 min read

An oil change is the service that keeps a BMW engine quiet, cool, and inside its designed clearances. In Yerevan the right interval is not a single number copied from a brochure. Short city trips, summer heat, and time spent idling all age the oil faster than a long highway drive.
How we choose the interval
Most modern BMWs show a condition-based service message. We still read that message, then check mileage, the last invoice, and how the car is used. A daily commute of short trips across the city usually needs fresh oil sooner than a car that regularly leaves Yerevan on the highway. If the oil smells of fuel, the level is rising, or the service history is missing, we do not wait for the dashboard.
Oil and filter
Bimmer Town uses BMW-approved oil in the viscosity the engine was built for. The wrong specification can affect VANOS, timing-chain tension, and turbo bearings long before a warning light appears. The filter is replaced with the oil, and the drain plug or sealing washer is renewed so the sump does not weep after the car leaves the ramp.
What else is checked
- Oil level and visible leaks around the valve cover, oil filter housing, and sump
- Coolant level and the condition of the expansion tank
- Air filter if it is clogged with dust
- Service reminder reset and a note of the next visit
The workshop is at 2/1 Aghababyan, Yerevan, and is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00–23:00. Call +374 96 779006 to book an oil service for a BMW, MINI, or Rolls-Royce.
