BMW diagnostics in Yerevan: fault codes are only the start

Published · 1 min read

Diagnostic work on a BMW at Bimmer Town Armenia

A generic code reader can show that a circuit is unhappy. It cannot tell you whether the sensor failed, the wiring rubbed through, or another control unit stopped sending the signal the sensor depends on. BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce electronics need a diagnosis that follows the signal, not only the text of the fault.

What a proper diagnostic visit includes

  • A full scan of the control units, not only the engine computer
  • Freeze-frame data: speed, temperature, and load when the fault stored
  • Live values compared with what that engine or chassis should show
  • A wiring or component test before any part is ordered

Common jobs behind a warning light

In the workshop we regularly trace misfires, VANOS and Valvetronic complaints, charging faults, electric water pumps, transfer-case and gearbox warnings, and parking-sensor or light-module errors. Some are a single sensor. Others are a chafed loom near the exhaust or a low battery that has filled the car with secondary faults. Clearing codes without the test only brings the light back.

Bring the car to 2/1 Aghababyan when a light stays on, the car enters limp mode, or a function such as the windows, the steering lock, or the gearbox simply stops. Call +374 96 779006. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00–23:00.
